Born on the 19th of January 1967 in Bordj-Ménaïel (Algeria), Fatma Zohra Zamoum lives in France.

From 1985 to 1988, she studies in the Beaux-Arts of Alger. In 1988, Fatma Zohra Zamoum leaves Algeria to get to Paris where she graduates in 1995 in Cinematographic and Audiovisual works at Paris 1er Sorbonne.

From that time, she shares her life between painting & cinema, her two passions. Since 1995, cinema and fiction durably set up in her life with the direction of self-financing short-movies and writing of scenarios such as The ball of wool (2005), that won prices in several festivals in Carthage, Fespaco, Ismailia and Larissa.

In 2009, Zamoun directs her first feature film (Un)Lucky, experimental movie, then her second one How Big is Your Love ? (Kedach Ethabni) in 2011.

Fatma Zohra Zamoun wrote, amongst others publications, A tous ceux qui partent (1999) et Comment j'ai fumé tous mes livres (2006). She also teaches Art history and Cinema in university in Paris.

Synopsis : 2007, Fatma Zohra and her brother Omar drive in east Algeria, in order to find the location sets for her feature film. They find ideal places and actors. But the dreamt movie has never turned to reality. So, Fatma decides to modify the story 1997, Alia a photographer is trying to go from Tunis (Tunisia) to Constantine (Algeria) to see her sick father. Cherif, a writer has discovered by reading the news that his death has been announced. The taxi driver will drive them through a suffering Algeria.
